The children of ESF Kennedy School learned how easy it is to make a difference in the lives of others on June 24 and 25 when the school held its fourth annual ‘gently used shoe’ collection.
This year, with the continued generous support of AFreight movers, 939 pairs of shoes were donated and sent off to ICM’s Bacolod base, where they will be distributed to ICM recipients, with priority given to ICM’s Jumpstart scholars and children attending school.
Children’s shoes, trainers, cleats, even football shoes were donated. Adults will benefit as the donations save them the cost of purchasing a pair of shoes. When someone who is earning US$.50 a day has to feed a family, but also needs a pair of shoes – the money will go towards putting food on the table.
Thank you ESF Kennedy School and AFreight for the difference you have made in the lives of over 939 people!
