Every year, Mill Run Elementary School in the USA works together to campaign for a cause, so we were thrilled to learn that this year they chose to sponsor an ICM Kindergarten. Amazingly, one of their First Grade teachers, Holly, traveled all the way to the Philippines to visit their sponor school, which has been named ‘Mill Run East’. Holly spent a day with the teachers, students and parents and experienced first hand what life was like for them. It was a very special day for the students and one of the highlights of the school year. Holly’s visit brought hope and encouragement to their sponsor community – it was a physical reminder that others are walking beside them in their struggle to overcome poverty.
We are so touched that students on the other side of the world are coming together to help underprivileged students in the Philippines receive an opportunity for education – to Mill Run Elementary School, we thank you for supporting us and helping these young students jumpstart their education!
