ICM’s poverty alleviation programs in the Philippines serve the ultra-poor in the Visayas, Mindanao and Palawan from 13 regional bases, with 34 local branches for the greatest possible coverage. In every region, we partner with thousands of local churches who provide ICM with an efficient and effective distribution network to reach the poor.

Where it All Began
ICM was founded in the Philippines, and for nearly the first three decades of our existence as a charity, our focus was exclusively on working as a Christian non-profit within the Philippines, serving the poorest people and communities in this nation. And it worked: ICM now has concrete evidence that Transform improves lives in the Philippines.

With Hope Comes Courage
According to a Philippine National Demographic and Health survey, one in four Filipino women aged 15 to 49 has experienced domestic abuse. Poverty seems to be a factor with women from low-income households suffering even more than other groups; some of these women have even had their lives threatened.
PayPal Volunteers Packed Meals for Families in ICM Iloilo Base
On August 23, in partnership with Rise Against Hunger Philippines (RAHPH), volunteers from PayPal Philippines helped ICM pack 36,288 meals for ultra-poor families in Iloilo. The volunteers packed 42 boxes per two-hour shift from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM at the PayPal Headquarters in Alabang, Muntinlupa.
International Care Ministries Mobilizes Thousands of Partners for Typhoon Odette Relief Operations
On December 17, 2021, Category 5 typhoon Odette (international name Typhoon Rai) made landfall in the Philippines and wreaked devastation in the Visayas and Mindanao Region of the Philippines. It was one of the strongest and deadliest typhoons in recent years, forcing over 300,000 people to flee their homes, leaving hundreds dead and millions of dollars worth of damage to livelihood and infrastructure.
