Kristine Braden
Former Citibank Executive
Kristine Braden is a global banker with extensive experience working in Europe, Asia, the US and Latin America. She has consistently driven growth and profitability in product and client-facing roles including corporate and investment banking, markets, transaction services and wealth management. She also has executive leadership, board, regulatory and crisis management experience.
Kristine has been recognized as one of the top bankers in EMEA and holds the distinction of being the first woman promoted to the Board of the Swiss Bankers Association in its 124-year history. She worked for 26 years with Citigroup in a variety of senior roles, most recently as Europe Head, CEO and Board Member of Citibank Europe Plc in Ireland and CEO and Management Board Member of Citigroup Global Markets Europe in Germany. Kristine also lived and worked in the Philippines in 1998-1999 and 2009-2012 as the Global Banking Head for Citigroup.
Currently, Kristine serves as Board Director and Risk & Audit Committee Member at Vontobel Holdings and Vontobel Bank AG, an international investment firm with Swiss roots. She is also an advisor to Frontier Tech Capital Pte Ltd, a Singaporean-headquartered Asian technology fund. Kristine is active in the non-profit sector as a board member of TrustBridge Global Foundation, a global donor advised fund and Be Still Media, an art incentivizor.
Kristine is a frequent public speaker on geopolitics, finance, digital and leadership topics. She holds a B.A. with honors in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley and completed graduate coursework in accounting and corporate finance at John’s Hopkins SAIS. Kristine is married with two adult children.
